A word about plasticiser. Plasticiser is a chemical that is added to plastics and rubbers to keep them soft. However it does leak out of certain rubbers (Often from the cheap stands available) and can attack the finish of guitars and adhesives used in their construction. Its the same type of chemical used in car dashboards and causes the haze on the windscreen inside your car. If you value your guitar use a reputable stand from a reputable dealer.
